PA dissolution issue: PTI overwhelms by retaliatory attack of PDM,

Lahore_The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf is also planning to dissolve the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly and Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly on the instructions of its chairman Imran Khan,

Sources said that AJK Prime Minister Raja Tanveer Ilyas and GB chief minister have decided to dissolve their assemblies on Dec 23 (Friday) in conjunction with the date announced by PTI Chief Imran Khan for the dissolution of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly and Punjab Assembly.

But the PTI could find it difficult to go ahead with its dissolution plan of Punjab Assembly as the Centre-led PDM coalition partners submitted no-confidence motions against Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, PA speaker and deputy speaker to the assembly secretariat.

Sources revealed that AJK Premier Tanveer Ilyas held a meeting with President Dr Arif Alvi and exchanged views on political situation prevalent in the country.

KP Chief Minister Mahmood Khan and Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi would also dissolve assemblies of their respective provinces on Dec 23.

According to sources, the PTI has declared the Punjab Governor Baligh-ur-Rehman’s order requiring the province’s chief minister to seek vote of confidence illegal.

The PTI leadership completed its consultation with the legal team which opined that neither the no-confidence resolution could be tabled nor the governor could ask the chief minister to seek vote of confidence as the session of Punjab Assembly is continued and the governor can’t summon a new session of the assembly.

A delegation of the PPP and the PML-N provincial lawmakers submitted a no-confidence motion against Elahi, Speaker Sibtain Khan and Deputy Speaker Wasiq Qayyum Abbasi in the Punjab Assembly on Monday in a bid to avert the PA dissolution.

Following the submission of the no-confidence motion, Governor Rehman summoned a session of the Punjab Assembly enabling the chief minister to seek the vote of confidence on Dec 21.

The opposition alliance of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) has turned the table of politics in Punjab after submitting the no-confidence motion against Chief Minister, Speaker, and Deputy Speaker in the Punjab Assembly.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has been overwhelmed by the retaliatory attack of the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N), Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) on Tuesday.

The PTI sources said that keeping in view the political change in parliamentary politics in Punjab Assembly, PTI Chairman Imran Khan held an important meeting with close associates at his residence in Lahore.

The sources said that the meeting consider the plan for the dissolution of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Assembly after the no-confidence motion against Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and Sabtain Khan.

In the meeting, the sources said Imran Khan has agreed to adopt an aggressive policy on the alleged audio leaks.

The sources said Imran Khan has decided to hold the PTI’s parliamentary party meeting at his residence in Zaman Park, Lahore on Wednesday (tomorrow).

Imran Khan also directed his close associates in the meeting to make the strategy and agenda of an important consultative meeting of the parliamentary party.

The PTI sources also said that the decision regarding the dissolution of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly has now been subjected to the Punjab Assembly
