Rawalpindi: The Chief of Air Staff – Serena Hotels International Squash Championship 2024, organized by the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) in collaboration with the Pakistan Squash Federation and Serena Hotels, concluded in a spectacular fashion at the Mushaf Squash Complex in Islamabad.

The tournament, which attracted 24 top-tier players from eight countries, including Egypt, England, Hong Kong, Ireland, Kuwait, Malaysia, Netherlands, and Pakistan, saw fierce competition for the prestigious title. Players showcased their exceptional skills and sportsmanship, thrilling fans and participants alike.

In an all-Pakistani final, Noor Zaman emerged victorious, defeating Nasir Iqbal with a commanding 3-0 scoreline. Both players demonstrated high-level techniques and determination, making the final match a memorable spectacle for squash enthusiasts.

Air Marshal Shakil Ghazanfar, Deputy Chief of the Air Staff (Personnel), graced the closing ceremony as the Chief Guest. He distributed trophies and prizes to the winners and runners-up. In his address, Air Marshal Ghazanfar congratulated all the players, both domestic and international, for their remarkable performances throughout the championship. “This tournament has been a testament to the talent, dedication, and passion for squash, not only from our Pakistani players but also from our international participants,” he said. “Pakistan Air Force remains committed to nurturing and promoting squash at all levels, ensuring that Pakistan reclaims its legacy in the sport.”

The Air Marshal also encouraged the youth of Pakistan to follow the path of these athletes and strive for excellence in sports. His words were a reflection of PAF’s long-standing commitment to fostering talent and promoting squash as part of Pakistan’s sporting legacy.
