No Tolerance for Chaos: AJK Ministers Vow to Protect State Ideology
Government, Public Action Committee Reach Agreement on Charter of Demand
Muzaffarabad-(Special Correspondent)-The Azad Kashmir government has reiterated its dedication to protecting the state’s ideology, ensuring citizens’ safety, and promoting development. Information Minister Pir Muhammad Mazhar Saeed Shah, alongside senior ministers, emphasized that no individual or group will be allowed to create chaos or establish a state within the state.
According to the ministers, everything is clear in the Azad Kashmir constitution, and deviation from it is considered anarchy. The government is taking strong steps for development, prioritizing the protection of life and property. They stressed that the protection of the ideology is the responsibility of the state.
A detailed discussion was held with the Government Reconciliation Negotiation Committee on the Charter of Demand of the Joint Public Action Committee, and all demands have been agreed upon. Equal subsidy is being given to them. The government is in correspondence with the concerned federal agencies to make Azad Jammu and Kashmir Bank a scheduled bank.
The ministers revealed that 90% of the cases have been resolved, and the remaining 10% will be resolved soon. Progress is being made on issues related to making mobile services efficient. Defunct vehicles are being auctioned, saving the government Rs 30 crore, which has been deposited in the government exchequer.
Regarding the restoration of students’ unions, the ministers assured that progress is being made, and good news will be announced soon. However, they criticized the Joint Awami Action Committee’s stance on the All Parties Conference organized by Jamaat-e-Islami in Poonch as unjustified.
The ministers acknowledged issues with 4G and 5G services across Pakistan but assured that correspondence with concerned authorities is ongoing. They emphasized that paying property tax is every citizen’s right, and the state raises resources through this tax. Property tax will be reduced by 50% for filers and non-filers.
Effective steps have been taken on the transport policy, including limiting ministers’ petrol allowances to 500 liters. The ministers boasted that electricity supply is reliable in Azad Kashmir. A special package worth seven and a half crores will be allocated for health and education.
Senior Minister Colonel (retd) Waqar Ahmad Noor highlighted reduced government expenses and the Prime Minister’s House budget cut. Minister Diwan Ali Khan Chaghtai emphasized the government’s readiness to negotiate with the Awami Action Committee, while Minister Chaudhry Rashid stressed equal funding for local body representatives.
The Azad Kashmir government remains committed to stability, development, and citizen welfare, reaffirming its dedication to protecting the state’s ideology and geographical borders.
