No Stay in Pakistan Without Visa After April 30

Islamabad-(Mudassar Iqbal)-Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry has reaffirmed that the government will not extend the April 30 deadline for the deportation of undocumented foreign nationals.

Speaking at a press conference in Islamabad on Friday, Chaudhry made it clear that no individual will be allowed to remain in Pakistan without a valid visa beyond the stipulated date.

“For the past 40 years, we have welcomed our Afghan brothers with open hearts, but no country allows residency without proper documentation,” he stated.

He also issued a stern warning to citizens, emphasizing that legal action will be taken against anyone found renting property or providing shelter to undocumented individuals.

“Clear instructions have been issued to all provinces: anyone offering a house, shop, or any kind of space to an illegal foreigner will face legal consequences,” he said.

According to Talal Chaudhry, as many as 84,869 Afghan nationals have returned to their country since April 1.

He clarified that the repatriation process is being carried out in a lawful and well-organized manner.

He added that the foreign ministry is in continuous contact with the Afghan government in this regard.

A Pakistani delegation, led by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, is also set to visit Afghanistan.
