No one will be allowed to play with country’s security: Kh Asif
Says nowadays social media has become battlefield:
Sialkot_ Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has congratulated the nation on the birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and greeted the Christian community on the Christmas celebrations,
The defence minister was addressing the PML-N workers’ convention in Sialkot on Sunday.
He said he wanted to felicitate nation on the Quaid-e-Azam’s birth anniversary and wished the Christian community on their Christmas festivities.
He also congratulated PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif on his birthday praying to Allah for his long life.
Kh Asif said that nowadays the political fight is going on social media. He, however, said that one should not lose patience.
He said nobody would be allowed to play with the security of country and property of the people.
He said the Muslim League was the party which made Pakistan.
He said that they did not believe in using swearing words. ‘We do not use foul language against anyone, he added.
Defense Minister Khawaja Asif predicted that Ch Pervaiz Elahi may take a reverse gear in the coming days as he had taken earlier in this July. “Elahi had promised him to side with PML-N, but at the eleventh hour, he joined PTI. Now he claimed that he was asked by then Gen Bajwa to do so,” he revealed.
Taking a dig at Imran Khan, the federal minister asked who arrested Nawaz Sharif and his family besides Khawaja Asif if he had not any authority over the NAB.
He said that earlier political war was fought through personal contacts but nowadays political war is being fought on social media.
Khawaja Asif further said, “We should not fight the political war at their level, we have to win the political war with honor and dignity, we should use political language on social media.”
He added it should be remembered that Muslim League-N has decided to fight a legal and political battle. “The party leader has assigned the task to the team of senior lawyers of PML-N to fight the legal battle.”
The minister said that the country is facing threats of economic and political turmoil. “It is known that people are in trouble due to skyrocketing hike, the person who talked about happiness has left the people in the lurch.” Khawaja Asif also demanded action under Article 6 against Imran Khan.
