No one clinch two-thirds majority in elections: Shahid Khaqan

Abbasi disagrees with PML-N’s approach to facilitate Nawaz’s return to power,

Lahore_Former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said on Saturday that no political party will clinch a two-thirds majority in the forthcoming elections.

Expressing his thoughts in Lahore at ThinkFest, Abbasi said: “The questions over the creditability of the upcoming elections have already been raised. The problems will be further increased with the controversial elections.’’Shahid Khaqqan Abbasi stated on Saturday that he disagrees with the PML-N’s approach to hand the next government to supremo Nawaz Sharif.

Abbasi clarified that there was no power in the chair in Pakistan, noting that he was not the prime minister but was given employment.

He pointed out that the PTI ruled through theft, and the PML-N ruled through dacoity.

The former PM disclosed that he had no political relationship with the PML-N anymore, adding that Maryam Nawaz was not the reason he distanced himself from the party.

Abbasi criticised the PML-N for humiliating Miftah Ismail, stating that they should not have accepted his resignation.

Criticising the accountability watchdog, he said that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) was humiliating and insulting politicians.
