NHA Announces Massive Toll Tax Hike on Highways
Daily Commuters and Transport Operators to Bear the Brunt of New Toll Rates Across Major Routes
NHA – (Web Desk) – The National Highway Authority has raised toll taxes on motorways and national highways by a huge margin. A formal notification has already been issued in this regard.
According to the new rates, cars will now pay Rs100 on national highways. Wagons will be charged Rs200 and buses Rs300. For 2 and 3 axle trucks the new rate is Rs350. Large trucks will have to pay Rs700.
Travelers on the Lahore to Abdul Hakam M3 Motorway will face steeper charges. Cars will be charged Rs1,000 on this route. A 12-seater wagon will pay Rs1,500 and coasters or minibuses will be charged Rs2,150.
On the Islamabad to Peshawar Motorway the situation is similar. Cars will pay Rs700 and 12-seater wagons will be charged Rs1,050.
The new toll rates are clearly going to hurt the pockets of daily travelers and transport operators across the country.
On Islamabad to Peshawar Motorway, buses will be charged Rs2,050, 2 and 3 axle trucks Rs2,650, and large trucks Rs3,300.
According to the notification, on the M4 Motorway, cars will pay Rs1,300, 12-seater wagons Rs1,950, and minibuses Rs2,850.

On the M4, buses will pay Rs 3,950 and large trucks Rs6,400.
On the M5 Motorway, cars will pay Rs1,500, wagons Rs2,150, minibuses Rs3,150, and large trucks Rs7,150.
On the E-35 Highway, cars will pay Rs350, wagons Rs550, minibuses Rs750, and buses Rs1,100.
