New Zealand Defeat India by 50 Runs in Fourth T20I at Visakhapatnam

Visakhapatnam: (Web Desk) –  New Zealand produced an impressive all-round performance to defeat India by 50 runs in the fourth T20 International played in Visakhapatnam.

Batting first, New Zealand posted a formidable total of 215 for 7 in their allotted 20 overs. Tim Seifert led the charge with an aggressive knock of 62 runs, while Devon Conway contributed a solid 44. Daryl Mitchell provided the late impetus with an unbeaten 39, helping the visitors cross the 200-run mark. For India, Arshdeep Singh and Kuldeep Yadav claimed two wickets each, but the Indian bowlers struggled to contain the scoring.

In reply, India’s chase never gained momentum as wickets fell at regular intervals, putting the hosts under constant pressure. Shivam Dube played a fighting innings of 65 off just 23 balls, while Rinku Singh added 39, but the rest of the batting lineup failed to offer support.

New Zealand’s bowlers kept a tight grip on the match, with Mitchell Santner picking up three wickets. Ish Sodhi and Jacob Duffy chipped in with two wickets apiece. India were eventually bowled out for 165 in 18.4 overs, handing New Zealand a comprehensive 50-run victory.
