NETCO Takes Strict Action on Corruption & Irregularities, Refers Cases to Anti-Corruption

All cases have been referred to the Anti-Corruption Establishment Gilgit-Baltistan for impartial and transparent investigation.

GILGIT: The Managing Director of Northern Areas Transport Corporation (NETCO), Usman Ahmed, has taken strict notice of serious irregularities, negligence, and incidents of lost cargo in the delivery of goods through NETCO buses, following a detailed review of multiple letters, complaints, and available evidence from courier company Leopards.

All cases have been referred to the Anti-Corruption Establishment Gilgit-Baltistan for impartial and transparent investigation. The Anti-Corruption authorities have been instructed to conduct a thorough inquiry, identify responsible individuals, highlight instances of negligence or corruption, and take action in accordance with the law.

The MD emphasized that any officer or staff found responsible will face strict disciplinary and legal action, and no leniency will be shown.

He further stated that any future cases of corruption, malpractice, or negligence in NETCO will be immediately handed over to the Anti-Corruption Establishment. The NETCO administration reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, accountability, and restoring public trust, maintaining a zero-tolerance policy against corruption.
