NEPRA set to hear plea seeking increase in power tariff tomorrow
NEPRA will review a proposed electricity price increase, which may affect power consumers nationwide, including Karachi Electric users.
The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) is scheduled to take up tomorrow an application submitted by the Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA), seeking an increase of 48 paisa per unit in electricity prices under the December 2025 adjustment.
The increase, if approved, will also apply to the consumers of Karachi Electric (K-Electric).
Presently, the adjustment for the month of November, 2025 applies to consumers across the country.

Under the adjustment, the price of electricity had been slashed by 93 paisa per unit.
