Islamabad: (Business Reporter) The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) approved a hike in the power tariff by 19.5 paisa per unit on account of the monthly fuel adjustment (MFA) for August 2022.
According to the details, the power tariff was hiked on account of August fuel charges, which will be applicable only in October bills.
However, the regulator also announced Rs4.87 per unit reduction in fuel cost adjustment (FCA) for K-Electric consumers for power consumed in August.
Furthermore The FCA for KE would be lowered by Rs4.87 per unit in August against KE’s petition for Rs4.21. The decision will provide a relief of over Rs7 billion to consumers.
