Neeraj Chopra Qualifies for Final at World Athletics Championship
According to the event rules, any athlete who throws 84.50 meters or more automatically qualifies for the final round.
Islamabad: India’s Neeraj Chopra has qualified for the final round of the World Athletics Championship after a strong performance in the javelin throw qualifiers.
According to Indian media, Neeraj threw 84.85 meters, securing his spot in the final. Germany’s Julian Weber also advanced to the final with an impressive 87.21-meter throw on his second attempt.
On the other hand, Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem threw 76.99 meters in his first attempt and 74.17 meters in his second. Grenada’s Anderson Peters led the group with a throw of 84.44 meters.
India’s Rohit Yadav recorded a throw of 77.81 meters, while Kenya’s athlete managed an 85.96-meter throw. Kenya’s Julius Yego has also qualified for the final.
