Need to mobilize our resources for global climate finance market: Climate Change Minister

ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Minister for Climate Change Ahmed Irfan Aslam has said that dependence on renewable energy sources has to be increased and we have to mobilize our resources for the global climate finance market.

According to the details, the Pre-COP-28 event was organized by the Ministry of Climate Change and the National Disaster Risk Management Fund. Caretaker Minister for Climate Change Ahmed Irfan Aslam, UAE Ambassador and other senior officials attended the ceremony.

Caretaker Minister for Climate Change Ahmed Irfan inaugurated the website related to COP28. The website has been developed by the Ministry of Climate Change and the National Disaster Risk Management Fund. Cop28 events will be live streamed on the website. Daily updates of COP28 should be shared on the website NDRF also released a newsletter on COP28.

Caretaker Minister for Climate Change Ahmed Irfan Aslam said that there is a need to recognize the problem of climate change. The world needs to do a lot to combat climate change, today’s event is a continuation of this. Pakistan attaches importance to the issue of climate change. Pakistan will push for energy transition in COP-28. Discussions will be held to enhance cooperation in energy transition.
