NDMA Issues Dense Fog Alert for Punjab, Parts of Sindh and Islamabad
The authority said foggy weather is also expected in parts of upper Sindh, particularly in and around Sukkur, while Islamabad may experience reduced visibility during night and early morning hours.
ISLAMABAD: The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) on Saturday issued a dense fog alert for several districts of Punjab, warning that low visibility conditions are likely to persist over the next three days.
According to the NDMA, southern and central Punjab are expected to be the worst affected, with dense fog forecast in districts including Lahore, Jhang, Multan, Khanewal, Mian Channu and Sahiwal. Similar conditions are also likely in Okara, Pakpattan, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Lodhran and Vehari.

The authority said foggy weather is also expected in parts of upper Sindh, particularly in and around Sukkur, while Islamabad may experience reduced visibility during night and early morning hours.
The NDMA has urged motorists to exercise extreme caution, use fog lights where necessary, and avoid unnecessary travel during periods of low visibility. Relevant departments have been directed to remain on alert and implement precautionary measures to minimise potential risks.
