Shehbaz Sharif reiterates Nawaz Sharif’s candidacy for PML-N’s PM

Security protocol of Shehbaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz tightened,

Lahore_Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif said on Friday that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s return had changed the country’s political landscape.

PML-N leaders Shaista Pervaiz Malik and Ali Pervaiz Malik held a meeting with the former prime minister in Lahore. On the occasion, Shehbaz Sharif commended the PML-N leaders and workers for organising the public gathering on October 21, marking the return of PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif.

“We will change the economic situation of the country, like the political landscape,’’ he maintained.

Shehbaz stressed the need for unity in a bid to lead the country towards prosperity.

Earlier, PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif felicitated former prime minister Nawaz Sharif for regaining the right to appeal against sentence in the Avenfield and Al-Azizia references.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Shehbaz Sharif said: “The restoral of the appeals of Nawaz Sharif against his sentence in the Avenfield and Al-Azizia references of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is the first step to remove the stains on the system of justice that were visible in the blackest era of injustice”.

Recalling Nawaz Sharif’s ouster, Shehbaz expressed optimism that justice would prevail. He praised the Higher Power, saying, “The Higher Power helps the sufferers, highlights truth, and eradicates injustice.”

Shehbaz Sharif reiterated on Wednesday that Nawaz Sharif will be the party’s prime minister candidate.

The PML-N leader from the UK, Ahsan Dar, held a meeting with Shehbaz Sharif at the latter’s Model Town residence. On the occasion, Shehbaz Sharif stated, “The upcoming tenure will be of the PML-N. The return of Nawaz Sharif is itself a sign of the PML-N’s victory”.

The interim Punjab government has further tightened the security protocol of former prime minister and PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif and PML-N Senior Vice President and Chief Organizer Maryam Nawaz, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

On the directives of the Punjab IG police, the provincial administration has provided fool-proof security to both Shehbaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz.

Both the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leaders will be given a security protocol by four police vehicles with jamming facilities during their movement.

The special branch has provided vehicles fitted with jammers on the written request made by the operation branch.
