Nawaz Sharif urges suo moto on fake cases against him

Former premier Nawaz Sharif Sunday demanded the Pakistani courts take suo moto notice of fake cases against him that have ruined his precious five years of life.

The former premier said that removing him from the PM ship and the party presidency, and disqualifying him lifetime for contesting the elections are not judicial decisions but an act of revenge so the judges who committed injustices should be held accountable.

The three-time former prime minister and PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif has lamented that in order to exact revenge on him, the country has been destroyed.

Nawaz Sharif said people were happy with his government in his last tenure but the court’s decision to prison and disqualify him was totally unjust as he was punished in a fake case.

Justice Saqib Nisar said that Nawaz Sharif and Maryam should be punished and Imran Khan should be brought into power, he said adding that they were in hurry to announce a decision against him before the election.

Nawaz Sharif said today the Supreme Court is saying that lifelong disqualification is a black law. He added that the judges who commit injustices should be held accountable.

He said during his detention, he came to know that his wife was unconscious so he requested the judge to postpone judgement against him for a week but he refused and announced a punishment of 10 years in his absence.

When we—Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz—returned Pakistan and everybody have seen what happened to us in the jail, he said adding that in Imran Khan’s government, Maryam was arrested by the NAB officials before his eyes when she came to meet him in jail and all this was done by them just to hurt him.

He said on Maryam’s arrest, her daughter who was also present in his cell during a weekly meeting started crying but Maryam herself remained composed and courageously stood with him. Shahbaz Sharif and the party also recognize Maryam Nawaz, said Nawaz Sharif.

The former premier fumed who allowed them to take revenge on Pakistan. He rued that inflation went through the roof during Imran Khan’s tenure. “During my government, people were happy,” he added.

He said Pakistan was a dignified country and he never compromised on its honour. He revealed that he was offered $5 billion in a platter for not conducting nuclear tests but he had refused to accept it.

He expressed his thankfulness to Allah Who reunited him with his daughter Maryam. ‘Praise be to Allah that Maryam is sitting beside me today. Like a brave daughter, she has supported her father. I’m proud of her’, he added.

Talking about his late mother, the former prime minister said that his mother used to shower special love on him. He reminisced whenever she came to visit him in Pindi jail, she would say she won’t leave the premises without taking him out from there. I used to console her and tell her that it could not happen, then she insisted to let her stay in the jail with me, the PML-N supremo added.

Bemused by sibling envy, he recalled how his brother Shehbaz Sharif used to complain about mother’s greater affection for him. He remembered when his mother breathed her last, he was holding her in his arms as he was sitting on her bed. He said his mother used to meet him once a week in jail in Rawalpindi.

He said in the Adiala Jail, he requested jail officials to make call to London as his wife’s health was not well. But they did not allow him to make a call and after three hours gave him a message of his wife’s death, he said adding that he personally informed Maryam about her mother’s death in the jail cell where she was detained separately him. He said the death of his wife was an irreparable loss for him.

He raised the question that who will pay back these years to him and his daughter especially when she has now been proven innocent in the cases made in Imran Khan’s regime.

During the conversation, he said he is proud of Maryam for her unshaken stand against all the oppression of the previous government of Imran Khan.

He said he was the person who made nuke tests and said “Absolutely not” to the USA while Imran Khan did not do anything to the nation to claim a slogan of ‘Absolutely not’.

In the conversation, when he was asked about returning to Pakistan to be a fourth-time prime minister of the country, the three-time former premier smiled and said “Inshallah” (if God wills).

I want to tell Imran Khan that something has happened in your time which has never happened before, Nawaz Sharif said adding that everything became expensive in Imran’s government.

He said Imran Khan took a U-Turn on every step in politics as well as ruined relations with neighbours and other countries. He said during his tenure, he controlled inflation, ended load shedding and avoided getting loans from IMF.

Nawaz Sharif blamed his rival Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan for destroying the country in his quest for vengeance.

Nawaz Sharif said, “If you [Imran] wanted to take revenge against me, that’s fine, by all means”. The former premier asked who allowed them to take revenge on Pakistan.

Lashing out at the previous PTI govt for unleashing extreme inflation, he said “In the last four to five years, everything has been reversed.”

Nawaz Sharif said that inflation in the country skyrocketed during Imran Khan’s tenure.

He said that Pakistan was a dignified country and he never compromised on its honour as he refused to accept $5 billion for not conducting nuclear tests.
