Nawaz Sharif accuses judiciary of distorting constitution

People not ready to support Imran Khan on May 9 crimes, Maryam

London/Lahore_Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday took a jibe at the judiciary system of the country,

Taking to Twitter, the former prime minister accused the judiciary of various transgressions and expressed his dismay over the state of the justice system in the country.

In a scathing tweet, he targeted the judiciary’s historical role, as well as recent decisions.

Nawaz Sharif alleged that the judiciary invented the controversial doctrine of necessity, which provided legitimacy to dictators in the past. He further claimed that the judiciary welcomed dictators and certified their rule, while elected prime ministers were subjected to execution, imprisonment on false charges, and even lifetime disqualifications.

Nawaz Sharif also made a reference to his own disqualification in the Panama case, highlighting the controversial ruling that linked his disqualification to not taking a salary from his son.

The PML-N chief went on to accuse the judiciary of rewriting the constitution by manipulating the composition of benches, raising concerns about the integrity and impartiality of the judicial process.

He expressed his disappointment over Pakistan’s justice system ranking 129th out of 140 countries worldwide and claimed that some judges were determined to drag it down even further.

Meanwhile,

Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) Chief Organiser Maryam Nawaz on Wednesday commented on the exodus of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders saying that even Imran Khan’s own party is not ready to support him on the crimes he committed on May 9.

She said that people who feel for the country cannot support Imran’s violent mode of politics where state assets were damaged and destroyed.

“The crime committed by Imran Khan on May 9, no one, even his own party, is ready to support him in this heinous crime,” PML-N leader writes in the tweet.

“Anyone who has even the slightest pain for Pakistan cannot be a supporter of violence in politics. Here, Imran burned the country! No sane person can support attacking, vandalising and burning Pakistani military installations, government, state and security buildings.”

“Either TTP [Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan] or PTI has done this. Remember, politics and political division later, Pakistan first!”

“There is no place for any group with such violent thinking in Pakistan’s politics. Therefore, this subversive group reached its end! Pakistan will now take a sigh of relief and move forward, God willing!”
