National Students Olympics Games Kick Off in Islamabad
Punjab Sports Board Promises Strong Support for Pakistan Students Olympics Association

ISLAMABAD: The National Students Olympics Games have commenced under the auspices of the Pakistan Students Olympics Association. The inaugural ceremony was held at the Islamabad Sports Complex, where players from various educational institutions across the country participated.
The National Games will continue from February 1st to February 5th at the Islamabad Sports Complex. The event will feature a wide range of athletic competitions, including volleyball, football, table tennis, athletics, chess, basketball, gymnastics, and other sports. Winners of the National Games will also be provided with an opportunity to compete internationally.
Special guests at the opening event included representatives from the embassies of Kazakhstan, Romania, and Nepal, along with the Minister for Gilgit-Baltistan, Ghulam Muhammad.

Addressing the event, the Chief Guest, DJ Sports, praised the efforts of the Pakistan Students Olympics Association and assured that the Punjab Sports Board will support their future events. He also highlighted plans to revive sports in schools and announced the preparation of an annual sports calendar by the Government of Punjab. The calendar will include both traditional and international sports competitions held across Punjab. The winners of the upcoming sports events will be awarded prizes worth millions of rupees.
President of the Pakistan Students Olympics Association expressed willingness to organize these competitions in every district of Pakistan, including Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, provided they receive government support.
