National Savings Revises Profit Rates for Behbood Savings Certificates
Behbood Savings Certificates Profit Rate Revised to 13.68% for February 2025

Islamabad– The National Savings, also known as Qaumi Bachat, has announced a downward revision in the profit rates for Behbood Savings Certificates (BSCs), effective from February 1, 2025. The reduction in the profit rates follows a decrease in inflation and positive economic indicators, with the State Bank of Pakistan also slashing its policy rate by 100 basis points to 12 percent, effective from December 17, 2024.
The Behbood Savings Certificates, which were launched in 2003, are designed to cater to the financial needs of widows, senior citizens, and disabled individuals. In 2004, the scheme was expanded to include special minors with disabilities (through guardians). The scheme provides a secure and profitable way to save, with investment options ranging from Rs. 5,000 to a maximum of Rs. 7.5 million.
The profit rates for Behbood Savings Certificates have now been set at 13.68 percent for February 2025. This means that an individual investing Rs. 100,000 can earn a monthly profit of Rs. 1,140. The certificates are available in denominations of Rs. 5,000, Rs. 10,000, Rs. 50,000, Rs. 100,000, Rs. 500,000, and Rs. 1,000,000.
The maximum investment limit for an individual is Rs. 7.5 million, while joint investors can invest up to Rs. 15 million.
