Nation Renews Pledge to Quaid-e-Azam’s Vision as Leaders Pay Tribute on Birth Anniversary
From Presidency to Armed Forces: Unified Call to Uphold Quaid-e-Azam’s Ideals
ISLAMABAD(Mudassar Iqbal)-Political leadership, the armed forces, and federal ministers on Tuesday paid rich tribute to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah on his 149th birth anniversary, reaffirming their commitment to his ideals of faith, unity, discipline, democracy, and social justice.
President Asif Ali Zardari said Quaid-e-Azam’s leadership and guiding principles continue to inspire the nation in addressing contemporary challenges. He urged Pakistanis, especially the youth, to renew their commitment to the Founder’s vision of a democratic, inclusive, and progressive Pakistan. Referring to Quaid-e-Azam’s upcoming 150th birth anniversary next year, the president termed it a vital opportunity to reflect on his struggle and pass on his ideals to future generations.
PM pays tribute to Quaid-e-Azam
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif described Quaid-e-Azam as a visionary statesman whose unwavering resolve and political wisdom led to the creation of Pakistan. He said the principles of religious harmony, social tolerance, and justice laid by the Quaid remain essential for national progress and urged the nation to follow his footsteps with selfless dedication.
The Pakistan Armed Forces, led by Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, along with the Chiefs of Naval and Air Staff, reaffirmed their unwavering commitment to safeguarding Pakistan’s sovereignty and upholding Quaid-e-Azam’s vision of a strong, democratic, and prosperous state. On the occasion, the armed forces also extended Christmas greetings to the Christian community, reiterating the Quaid’s message of equal rights and religious freedom.
Federal ministers Chaudhry Salik Hussain, Khalid Hussain Magsi, and Sardar Awais Ahmed Khan Leghari also paid tribute, highlighting Quaid-e-Azam’s emphasis on constitutionalism, unity, tolerance, and youth empowerment. They urged the nation to transform his ideals into practical action for a peaceful, stable, and progressive Pakistan.
