Naqvi Blames RAW, BLA for Pahalgam Attack
Naqvi Urges Global Probe, Slams India’s Blame Game Over Pahalgam Attack
Lahore: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Saturday directly accused India’s intelligence agency RAW of orchestrating the Pahalgam attack, which claimed the lives of 27 tourists in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Addressing a press conference in Lahore, Naqvi asserted that RAW, in collaboration with the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), had been involved in multiple acts of terrorism targeting Pakistan.
“Instead of condemning the tragic loss of innocent lives, India hastily blamed Pakistan — a move that reeks of political opportunism,” Naqvi said. He emphasized the need for an impartial international investigation into the incident, urging the global community not to accept unilateral narratives.
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif echoed similar sentiments while addressing the passing-out parade at Pakistan Military Academy in Kakul. He categorically rejected India’s baseless allegations and reiterated Pakistan’s demand for a transparent probe into the Pahalgam tragedy.
Highlighting Pakistan’s sacrifices in the war on terror, Sharif said,
“We are the worst-affected country by terrorism, having lost over 90,000 citizens and bearing economic losses amounting to billions of dollars.”
The Prime Minister affirmed that Pakistan has always stood against terrorism in all its forms, unlike some neighboring countries that exploit such tragedies for propaganda.
He also issued a stern warning to India regarding the Indus Waters Treaty, stating,
“If India attempts to violate the treaty by stopping Pakistan’s water, we will respond decisively. There should be no misunderstanding on this front.”
Sharif further noted that Pakistan, as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, is committed to promoting peace, stability, and global cooperation — and will continue playing its role as a responsible international actor.
The statements come as tensions remain high between the two countries, with Pakistan vowing to expose what it calls India’s false flag operations and media manipulation aimed at deflecting from its own internal failures.
