ISLAMABAD – The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has released its performance report for the first six months of 2025, showcasing significant recoveries and restitution of assets.
According to the report, NAB recovered more than Rs547 billion in total during the first two quarters of the year. Notably, Rs456 billion was recovered in the second quarter alone.
The anti-corruption watchdog also handed over properties worth over Rs532 billion to federal and provincial ministries and other relevant departments.
In its continued efforts to provide justice to victims of financial fraud, NAB returned looted funds to 12,611 individuals affected by various scams during this period.
NAB Rawalpindi:
Recovered 51 kanals of valuable government land worth Rs29 billion in Islamabad’s Sector 11-E and handed it over to the Capital Development Authority (CDA).
Recovered Rs3 billion in the B4U fraud case, set to be distributed among 17,214 victims.
NAB Sukkur:
Recovered National Highway Authority (NHA) land valued at Rs25 billion.
Recovered 127 kanals and 15 marla land of the Sindh Education and Literacy Department worth Rs160.895 million.
NAB Lahore:
Distributed Rs3.2 billion among 11,880 victims in the Eden Housing scam.
Recovered 8 properties worth Rs9.3 billion in the Pak Arab Housing case, to be compensated in cash to 2,500 affected individuals.
The report highlights NAB’s proactive role in recovering public assets and returning looted money, reinforcing its commitment to combating corruption and ensuring accountability across Pakistan.
