NAB Committed to Safeguarding Dignity and Rights of MPAs Under Investigation
Expands Outreach with New Sub-Offices in Chaman and Gwadar

Quetta(Staff Reporter)_Deputy Chairman NAB Sohail Nasir visited NAB Balochistan and held separate meetings with the Chief Minister and Speaker of the Balochistan Assembly. The purpose was to establish an Accountability Facilitation Cell (AFC) within the provincial assembly to enhance coordination regarding complaints against MPAs.
The AFC will operate under the Speaker’s supervision, forwarding complaints to NAB for preliminary reports. NAB will then determine the next course of action. This mechanism aims to ensure transparency and accountability in governance.
NAB is committed to safeguarding the dignity and rights of MPAs under investigation, replacing the term “accused” with “defendant”. The Speaker can also refer complaints to NAB.
The Deputy Chairman highlighted NAB’s efforts in establishing sub-offices in Chaman and Gwadar, expanding outreach and improving governance.
Both the Chief Minister and Speaker appreciated the initiative, commending NAB’s commitment to transparency and fairness. The meetings concluded with a shared commitment to upholding the rule of law with mutual respect.
