Muzaffarabad: Passenger Jeep Plunges into Neelum River, 13 Dead

Muhammad Akhtar Ayub, in charge of SDMA Neelum, mentioned that ongoing rainfall is hampering rescue operations.

Muzaffarabad: In a tragic accident in Muzaffarabad, a passenger jeep fell into the Neelum River, resulting in the deaths of 13 people.

The jeep was traveling from Lwat Bala to Muzaffarabad when it veered off the road and plunged into a ravine at Dewalian, ultimately falling into the Neelum River. The accident also left several people injured.

Rescue officials reported that 13 individuals, including the driver, died on the spot. Among the deceased were six men, four women, and three children.

Muhammad Akhtar Ayub, in charge of SDMA Neelum, mentioned that ongoing rainfall is hampering rescue operations. Rescue teams have successfully transported the injured to a nearby hospital.
