Muneeba, Amber keep Invincibles unbeaten in T20 Tournament
Muneeba Ali's brilliant fifty and Amber Kainat's four wicket spell power Invincibles to another big win in the National Women's T20 Tournament.
National Women’s T20 Tournament 2025-26 – (Web Desk) – Invincibles are still unbeaten in the National Women’s T20 Tournament 2025-26. They beat Conquerors by 30 runs on Friday at Bagh-e-Jinnah in Lahore. Muneeba Ali scored a fine half-century and Amber Kainat grabbed four wickets to make it happen.
Invincibles batted first and put up 165 for five. Muneeba led from the front with a 59 off 47 balls. She hit nine fours along the way. Iram Javed came in and finished things off in style. She smashed an unbeaten 43 off just 23 balls with five fours and two sixes. Ayesha Zafar bowled well for Conquerors and took two wickets for 30 runs.
Conquerors gave it a go but could only manage 135 for eight. Samiya Afsar top scored with 57 off 48 balls. Hafsa Khalid also played well and made 38 off 28 balls. But the asking rate was always too steep. Amber Kainat was brilliant with the ball. She took four wickets for just 20 runs in three overs. Saima Malik chipped in with two more.
The second game of the day was a close one. Strikers beat Challengers by just five runs at the Ghani Glass Cricket Ground. Strikers posted 150 for seven. Dua Majid top scored with 38 off 28 balls. Aliya Riaz made 32 and both Sadaf Shamas and Umm-e-Hani added 25 each. Diana Baig and Tania Saeed took two wickets each for Challengers.
Challengers came close in the chase but fell just short at 145 for six. Eman Naseer top scored with 42. Eyman Fatima who hit a century in her last game chipped in with 38 this time. Tasmia Rubab was the pick of the bowlers for Strikers. The left arm pacer took three wickets and sealed the win.
Left-arm pacer Tasmia Rubab, who was adjudged player of the match, grabbed three wickets for 26 runs in four overs.
On Sunday, Invincibles will face Challengers at the Ghani Glass Cricket Ground, with the first ball to be bowled at 10am. On the same day, Conquerors will take on Stars at the same venue, with the match scheduled to begin at 2pm.
