Multan Sultans Defeat Lahore Qalandars by 33 Runs in PSL 10 Match 12

Multan, Pakistan — Multan Sultans secured a 33-run victory over Lahore Qalandars in the 12th match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10, held at Multan Cricket Stadium. Lahore Qalandars, chasing a daunting target of 229 runs set by the Sultans, were unable to reach the target, finishing with 195 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in their allotted overs.

This win marked the first victory of the tournament for Multan Sultans, though they remain at the bottom of the points table after four matches.

In Lahore’s chase, Sikandar Raza was the top scorer with 50 runs, followed by Sam Billings with 43 runs and Fakhar Zaman with 32 runs.

For the Sultans, Obaid Shah was the standout bowler, claiming three wickets, while Osama Mir and Michael Bracewell took two wickets each.

Earlier, Multan Sultans won the toss and chose to bat first. The Sultans posted an impressive total of 228/6, with Yasir Khan playing a brilliant knock of 87 runs. Iftikhar Ahmed contributed with 40 runs, and Usman Khan added 39 runs. Lahore’s Rashid Hussain took two wickets, while Sikandar Raza, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and Aseef Afridi each claimed one wicket.

In the post-match interview, Multan Sultans’ captain Mohammad Rizwan mentioned that the pitch was favorable for batting, which influenced their decision to bat first. “We aimed to set a strong total, and thankfully, we achieved that,” Rizwan said.
