More than 700,000 service requests resolved under ‘Maryam ke Dastak’
LAHORE – The Government of Punjab’s flagship initiative, Maryam Ke Dastak, has processed over 900,000 service requests from citizens, with more than 700,000 of them already resolved.
The figures were revealed during a progress review meeting held at Arfa Software Technology Park, chaired by Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) Chairman Faisal Yousaf.
Developed and managed by PITB, the Maryam Ke Dastak program has significantly enhanced public service delivery and citizen engagement. Officials reported that over 137,000 service requests are currently under processing and are expected to be completed in the near future.
The program has also mobilized thousands of young individuals as Dastak Facilitators, who play a vital role in delivering services at the doorstep and maintaining seamless coordination between citizens and government departments.
Speaking at the meeting, Chairman Faisal Yousaf emphasized that the program currently offers 76 essential government services directly to citizens at their homes across Punjab. These include services such as Domicile issuance, Birth Certificates, FIR Copies, and Property Documentation, eliminating the need for citizens to visit government offices.
He noted that Maryam Ke Dastak is not only expanding access to public services but also helping reduce time and expenses for the public, while streamlining administrative efficiency. Citizens can access these services by calling the helpline 1202 or by using the Dastak Doorstep Delivery App.
The initiative marks a major step toward people-centric governance, offering real-time relief and convenience to residents of Punjab.
