Mohsin Naqvi criticizes UN’s silence on Kashmir human rights abuses

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi vows continued Pakistan support for Kashmiris, condemns Indian atrocities, UN silence, and denial of rights.

Minister Mohsin Naqvi  – (Special Correspondent / Web Desk) – On Monday, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Kashmiri people on Right to Self-Determination Day. In his statement, he highlighted that January 5 marks a historic occasion when the United Nations formally recognized the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination.

He emphasized that even after 77 years, Kashmiris continue to be denied their fundamental rights and endure ongoing oppression and atrocities. “Occupied Jammu and Kashmir remains a disputed territory and a longstanding global issue unresolved for seven decades,” Naqvi stated.

He further noted that the people of Kashmir are looking toward the United Nations for the realization of their right to self-determination, and this prolonged wait weighs heavily on the conscience of the UN, the international community, and human rights advocates worldwide.

The Interior Minister said that Indian Occupied Kashmir is currently a picture of helplessness and oppression that questions claims of global justice.

Mohsin Naqvi said that Indian atrocities have turned occupied Kashmir into the world’s largest prison where freedom is denied.

Indian efforts to suppress the right to self-determination through force are a negation of international law and democratic principles.

The double-dealing policy and criminal silence of the United Nations on Indian atrocities have become clear to all.

Pakistan has been and will always continue to support the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination on principled, moral, and diplomatic levels, the minister added.
