Minister Leghari Supports DG ISPR’s Strong National Statement

Leghari Praises Field Marshal Munir’s Leadership and Historic Victory Against India

Islamabad – Federal Minister for Energy Sardar Awais Ahmad Khan Leghari issued a strong statement on Sunday, expressing full support for the recent press conference by the DG ISPR, calling it “the voice of the entire nation, not just the Army’s spokesperson.”

The minister said that the individual who has “lost his mental balance after the failure of his foreign-backed agenda” continues to inflict pain on the nation. He praised the clear stance taken by state institutions regarding the founder of PTI, calling it commendable.

Leghari added that the political figure in question wrongly believed himself to be the ultimate authority and the only leader in the country, forgetting that he was a “manufactured leader” created by certain powers. “Today he stands fully exposed, and the DG ISPR has shown his real face to the nation,” he said.

The minister declared that spreading false narratives and poisonous propaganda against the Pakistan Army is an act of betrayal and deserves no leniency. He said freedom of expression can never be allowed to undermine national security, and he fully supports decisive action against those running hostile campaigns under its cover.

He also welcomed the sharp and direct questions raised by the DG ISPR, saying the nation demands answers:
Why is a narrative always built against the armed forces?
Why is the performance of four years in the federal government and twelve years in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa never discussed?
Why is there silence on terrorism while criticism is directed at the forces fighting terrorists?

“The nation will not be misled. No individual is above the country’s security,” he stressed.

Leghari paid tribute to Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, praising his patriotic and courageous leadership. He said the armed forces delivered a historic victory against India on the night of May 6–7, raising the nation’s pride and enhancing Pakistan’s prestige worldwide.

He added that Field Marshal Asim Munir’s clear stance against extremist elements and hostile groups is a matter of pride, expressing confidence that under his leadership Pakistan will continue to grow stronger, more stable, and more respected globally.
