Deadly landslide after mining explosion claims lives in Mardan
MARDAN: (Web Desk) – A deadly incident occurred in Mardan on Tuesday when a blast during mining operations triggered a massive landslide, resulting in the deaths of at least six افراد and injuries to three others. Authorities fear the casualty count may increase as rescue efforts continue.
According to officials, the explosion took place in the mountainous area of Rustam Palodheri, where several workers were present at the time. Mujahid Ali stated that initial reports indicated around 10 to 12 individuals were trapped beneath the debris when the landslide occurred.

Rescue teams immediately launched an operation and have so far managed to pull nine people from the rubble. Among them were six victims who had already lost their lives, while three injured individuals were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment.
The district administration has placed all emergency services and healthcare facilities on high alert to respond to the situation. Earlier reports had suggested that four individuals were rescued in critical condition, highlighting the severity of the حادثہ.
