LAHORE: Pakistan’s newly appointed head coach Mike Hesson has emphasized a clear roadmap for the national team, focusing on improving international rankings and preparing strategically for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup.

Speaking to media at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, Hesson shared his approach toward building a competitive white-ball team and refining Pakistan’s style of play. “We are aiming for a strong start against Bangladesh. A good performance will boost morale and help us move up the ICC rankings,” he said.

Hesson praised senior players Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan, calling them crucial to Pakistan’s white-ball future. “They’re outstanding players and are working hard to further improve their game. They remain central to our strategy,” he added.
