According to the notification, District Health Officers are required to ensure the availability of meningitis vaccination facilities and issue manual vaccination certificates to travelers. The certificate must clearly mention the vaccine manufacturer, batch number, and expiry date.

Arrangements for vaccination will be the personal responsibility of the traveler, while the vaccine will be available at designated centers under the Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI).

The move aims to strengthen preventive health measures and ensure compliance with international travel health requirements.
