Court Appointed Medical Board Examines PTI Founder at Adiala Jail

ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – A medical board, formed on the directives of the Islamabad High Court, carried out a detailed examination of the eye condition of the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf at Adiala Jail on Wednesday.

According to prison officials, the board was constituted by the Commissioner Islamabad and included a team of senior specialists from multiple disciplines. The doctors arrived with necessary medical staff and an ambulance equipped with advanced diagnostic equipment to ensure a comprehensive assessment.

The panel comprised prominent medical experts, including ENT specialist Professor Altaf Hussain, cardiologist Professor Akhtar Ali Bandesha, medical specialist Dr. Muhammad Ali Arif, ophthalmologist Dr. Muhammad Arif Khan, and vitreo-retinal surgeon Professor Nadeem Qureshi from Al-Shifa Eye Hospital.

Authorities confirmed that the examination is being conducted in line with court orders, with all required medical facilities provided. The process is ongoing and is taking place in the presence of Bushra Bibi. A detailed medical report will be submitted to the Chief Commissioner upon completion.
