
LONDON: Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, expressed his wish for a final between Pakistan and England in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, which runs from February 19 to March 9. The tournament marks Pakistan’s return to hosting major international cricket after 30 years.
Khan voiced his optimism for a thrilling competition, hoping for strong performances from Pakistan’s Babar Azam and a successful event. He also shared his disappointment over the lack of international teams visiting Pakistan in recent years and called for a successful and safe tournament. Khan even offered his services to the England and Pakistan cricket teams, joking about being available to play.

The tournament kicks off with Pakistan vs. New Zealand in Karachi, while the much-anticipated Pakistan vs. India clash will occur on February 23 in Dubai.
