Shadman, Sarwar Road Cases Lead to Convicts’ Sentences

Lahore– (Special Correspondent/Web desk) An anti-terrorism court in Lahore has ordered the seizure of properties owned by convicted PTI leaders Dr Yasmin Rashid, Ejaz Chaudhry, Mian Mehmoodur Rasheed, and Omar Sarfraz Cheema in two May 9 arson cases. Judge Manzar Ali Gul also sentenced Dr Yasmin Rashid and Ejaz Chaudhry to 10 years in prison, along with a fine of Rs 600,000 each. Mian Mehmoodur Rasheed and Omar Sarfraz Cheema received the same prison term and fine.

Jail warrants were issued for the convicts, and the Kot Lakhpat Jail superintendent was instructed to ensure the prison terms are carried out without delay.

In a separate order, the court directed the release of PTI leader Shah Mahmood Qureshi after acquitting him in both May 9 cases.
