Islamabad: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) General Secretary Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri has resigned from the Senate after securing a National Assembly seat in the recently held general elections on February 8. The seasoned politician submitted his resignation to Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani, which was promptly accepted, paving the way for Haideri to take oath as a member of the National Assembly.

This move follows the footsteps of Senators Sarfraz Bugti and Prince Umar Ahmedzai, who also resigned from the Senate after emerging victorious in the Balochistan Assembly constituencies during the same elections. Former caretaker Federal Interior Minister Sarfraz Bugti submitted his resignation to Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani, which was likewise accepted.

The resignation of Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri, along with Senators Sarfraz Bugti and Prince Umar Ahmedzai, signifies their commitment to serving their respective constituencies at the provincial and national levels.
