Mastung Blast Claims Lives of Policeman, Children Among Five Dead
Mustang-(Staff Reporter): A powerful explosion struck Civil Hospital Chowk near a girls’ school in Mustang on Friday morning, reportedly killing five people and injuring at least 15 others.
Among the deceased were a police officer and several children, while police reported that many of the injured were also school students.
The blast took place close to a police mobile and a rickshaw, both of which were heavily damaged. Preliminary reports indicate that numerous people, including children, sustained injuries in the blast. Police and rescue teams arrived on the scene to manage the emergency response.
Authorities confirmed that the explosion destroyed a police vehicle and nearby rickshaws. All 15 injured individuals were taken to Civil Hospital for medical attention.
Witnesses described additional challenges at Civil Hospital, citing a shortage of staff and resources, which delayed treatment for many of the injured who were left waiting in distress. Medical teams are working to assist patients despite the limited resources available.
