Masood Hits Half-Century as Pakistan Lose Two Wickets in Second Innings

MULTAN: After a stellar bowling performance from Noman Ali and Sajid Khan, who restricted the West Indies to just 137 runs, Pakistan began their second innings with a strong opening partnership.

Skipper Shan Masood and debutant Muhammad Hurraira put together an impressive 67-run stand off 95 balls. However, Hurraira’s debut innings came to an unfortunate end when Jomel Warrican struck him with an lbw delivery in the 16th over, sending him back to the pavilion.

Pakistan’s troubles continued shortly after, as Warrican dismissed Babar Azam in the 20th over with another lbw. Despite Masood choosing not to review the decision, Babar walked off the field, leaving Pakistan at 67 for 2.

Warrican almost claimed his third wicket in the 22nd over, but a successful review by Pakistan saved Ghulam’s wicket, and he remained at the crease.

Amid the early wickets, Masood remained resolute and brought up his 11th half-century in Test cricket in the 24th over. As of 23.3 overs, Pakistan stands at 97 for 2, with Masood continuing to anchor the innings.
