“Maryam Nawaz Salutes Police Martyrs: ‘Their Blood Made Pakistan a Cradle of Peace’”
Lahore-(Bureau Chief)-“I salute those brave soldiers of Punjab Police who made Pakistan a cradle of peace by giving their blood,” said Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif in her message on Police Martyrs’ Day. She added,”Some mothers lost their sons, some wives lost their husbands and some kids lost their fathers so that we all could be safe.” She highlighted,”Peace of every street in Punjab is a result of the last breath of a martyr.”

CM said,”I salute those mothers who made their sons martyred, and those sons who refused to bow their heads.” She added,”Blood of police martyrs is the strongest brick of our state.” She underscored,”Real strength of a state are those soldiers who faced bullet but did not step back.”
Maryam Nawaz Sharif said,”Mission of martyrs will continue, we will fulfill their dreams.” She added,”Punjab government stands by the heirs of police martyrs, not just with words but with practical measures, welfare packages and all possible cooperation.” She flashed,”Blood of police martyrs is the foundation of our state, we will never forget it.”

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have emphasized the need to enhance capabilities of police and equip with modern training and weapons to effectively tackle current challenges.

In their separate messages on the occasion of Police Martyrs Day being observed on Monday, they paid tribute to the brave police officers and personnel who laid down their lives in the service of the nation.
The President said that the nation will never forget the sacrifices of its martyrs. He said that the government will continue to take measures for the welfare of the families of the martyrs.
Prime Minister said in war on terrorism, more than 8,000 police officers and men sacrificed their blood and saved millions of children of the country from orphanhood.
Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan Police have demonstrated its professional capabilities all over the world and medals and awards won at the recent World Police Summit 2025 are a clear proof of this.
