Maryam Nawaz Launches Phase III of Green Tractor Program

Lahore: (Web Desk) – Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on Wednesday formally inaugurated Phase III of the Green Tractor Program in Lahore, marking another major step toward strengthening the province’s agricultural sector.

Addressing the ceremony, the chief minister said the Green Tractor Scheme is playing a pivotal role in modernizing farming practices and boosting productivity across Punjab. She noted that the initiative aims to provide tangible support to farmers by improving access to modern agricultural machinery.

Under the scheme, two phases have already been successfully completed, during which 21,000 tractors were distributed among farmers. In the third phase, the government plans to provide 10,000 additional tractors with engine capacities ranging from 50 to 65 horsepower, further expanding mechanization in the agriculture sector.

Maryam Nawaz reaffirmed her government’s commitment to farmer welfare, saying agriculture remains a key pillar of Punjab’s economy and food security.
