Major Sania Safdar Honored for Advancing Gender Equality in UN Peacekeeping

The award honors Major Sania Safdar for her contributions to advancing UN Security Council Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace, and Security (WPS). UNFICYP acknowledged her work in the Field Technology Section and her initiatives to enhance gender representation within the military as key reasons for her selection.
