Garhi Dupatta Police’s Bold Raid: Notorious Drug Peddler Caught Red-Handed in Swift Operation

MUZAFFARABAD (Shoaib Mehmood)-  In a significant crackdown on drug dealers, the Garhi Dupatta Police conducted a successful operation leading to the arrest of notorious drug peddler Raja Ashfaq, the primary supplier of drugs in the region. The operation, led by SHO Raja Adeel Afsar Khan along with a dedicated team, unfolded at the drug peddling site in Choona Pani Tandali.

Swift Police Action: Raja Ashfaq, a well-known figure in illicit drug trade, was apprehended red-handed with a substantial quantity of drugs and digital scales used for weighing narcotics. The operation, executed by SHO Raja Adeel Afsar Khan and his team, including Bilal Ahmed IHC, Manzoor Ahmed IHC, Hanif Awan DFC, Nadeem Rasheed DFC, Mohammad Zaheer, Waseem Abbasi, Raja Akhlaq, Ali Mardan, and others, showcased the police’s determination to curb the drug menace.

Seized Contraband: During the operation, a total of 1265 grams of hashish and a digital scale were recovered from the scene. The main supplier, identified as Munawar Hussain Shah, son of Syed Zahoor Hussain Shah from Tandali, was arrested on the spot. A case under CNSA/9C was promptly registered, initiating a thorough investigation into the matter.

Community Recognition: The success of the Garhi Dupatta Police in dismantling the drug operation earned them accolades from the local community. The residents of the area honored SHO Raja Adeel Afsar Khan and his team for their swift and effective action against drug dealers, acknowledging the importance of collaborative efforts to eradicate the drug scourge.
