ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – The process of installing e-tags on vehicles and motorcycles in the federal capital is moving at a rapid pace, authorities reported. In the past 24 hours, 1,107 vehicles and 4,660 motorcycles have been fitted with e-tags.
So far, 241,957 vehicles have been incorporated into the e-tag system, while the total number of motorcycles registered has reached 25,847.
Several e-tag centers are now fully operational for 24 hours, including those at Sector G-26, Phulgran, F-9 Park, and Faizabad. Other centers, including Rawat T-Cross, G-14 Check Post, Ninth Avenue I-9, Gulberg Green, Malpur, Margalla Avenue, Gandum Godam, Daman Koh, and Murree Road near Tulip, are providing services for 12 hours daily.
According to the DG Excise, the extended working hours have significantly reduced queues at the centers. He added that providing maximum convenience to citizens during Ramadan remains a top priority, and additional staff has been deployed at e-tag centers to facilitate the public.

To register for an e-tag, citizens must present ownership documents, a valid CNIC, and a verified mobile number, said Irfan Memon. Vehicles and motorcycles without e-tags will not be permitted on the roads.
The DG Excise urged citizens to visit the nearest e-tag centers with all necessary documents to avoid any legal action.
