On Friday, the Lahore High Court (LHC) directed the removal of Lieutenant General Munir Afsar from his role as Chairman of the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA).
The court’s decision followed a petition by Ashba Kamran, a citizen who challenged the legality of Afsar’s appointment. The provincial apex court declared the appointment invalid.
