Lt Col (R) Raja Wasim Ahmed Elected to Asian Taekwondo Union Council

ISLAMABAD: In a major milestone for Pakistan’s martial arts community, Lt Col (R) Raja Wasim Ahmed, President of the Pakistan Taekwondo Federation, has been elected as a Council Member of the Asian Taekwondo Union (ATU). The announcement was made during the ATU General Assembly held today in Kuching, Malaysia.

This prestigious appointment highlights Pakistan’s growing influence in the international Taekwondo arena. Lt Col Raja Wasim Ahmed’s election is a recognition of his longstanding commitment and dedicated efforts toward promoting the sport both domestically and globally.

The assembly also saw the election of Mr. Sang Jin Kim of South Korea as the new President of the Asian Taekwondo Union, signaling a new chapter of leadership for the sport across Asia.
