LPG prices jump again, increasing pressure on consumers
The retail price of LPG rose from Rs330 to Rs350 per kilogram in the Karachi market.
KARACHI (Web Desk): The upward trend in Liquefied Petroleum Gas prices continued on Tuesday as the retail rate increased by another Rs20 per kilogram, adding further pressure on consumers already facing rising fuel costs.
The retail price of LPG rose from Rs330 to Rs350 per kilogram in the Karachi market.
LPG dealers said the continued price hike was linked to supply disruptions following the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
They explained that the conflict in major oil and gas-producing regions had reduced LPG supply while demand remained high, resulting in a persistent increase in prices.

Earlier, LPG prices had already surged by Rs30 per kilogram, pushing the retail rate to Rs330 per kilogram. However, the government’s official price list had fixed the commodity at Rs226 per kilogram.
The increase in LPG prices comes amid a broader wave of fuel price hikes across Pakistan. Authorities recently raised petrol prices by Rs55 per litre, while diesel, kerosene oil, and jet fuel also witnessed sharp increases.
The price of jet fuel alone rose by Rs153.44 per litre, triggering an increase in transport fares and adding further financial strain on commuters already dealing with rising living costs.
