Strict action should be taken against line staff working without t&p,

Chief Executive Officer IESCO Dr. Muhammad Amjad Khan has said that IESCO management is responsible for providing the best electricity related services to the esteemed consumers, it is also its primary responsibility to protect the lives of the line staff and provide them quality T&P during the work as the line staff is a valuable asset of any power distribution company, which enables electricity transmission and redressal of electricity related complaints of consumers and IESCO has professional skilled line staff. He further said that IIESCO has always taken the best steps to protect the lives of its brave and courageous line staff and ensured the provision of the best T&P and other facilities to them, now it is the moral and departmental responsibility of the line staff to follow precautionary and safety measures during the work and ensure the use of T&P during the work. Do not work without PTW and earthing lines on both sides, because a little carelessness and not using T&P can lead to a major casualty. The IESCO chief said that we have to make it possible to implement the safety culture in the IESCO region and to achieve this goal, field officers should check the staff during the work and if they see any line staff not following the safety guidelines, strict departmental action should be taken against them, because we have to protect human life from accidents in every situation. He appreciated the efforts of Chief Engineer Operations Muhammad Aslam Khan for promoting safety culture in IESCO region and directed that safety seminars should be organized regularly to create awareness about the safety of line staff and they should be given a full briefing about the nature of work before work.
