Lahore weather forecast: PMD predicts record temperature across Punjab

LAHORE: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted hot weather across Punjab while extreme weather already gripped Lahore and its surroundings.

As per the PMD, the Lahore city will record a temperature of 44 degrees Celsius this week, while there is no chance of rain in the provincial capital of Punjab during the next 24 hours.

The wind was blowing at a speed of 5 km per hour and the humidity was 45%.

Meanwhile, the temperature of the city was recorded at 32 degrees Celsius, which is likely to go up to 40 degrees Celsius.

On the other hand, the PMD has warned of hot weather in the plains of Punjab and Sindh.

The Director of Met Office said in an exclusive conversation with a private news channel that there will be intense heat in the plains of both the provinces (Punjab and Sindh).

“Citizens who take action will come out of their homes,” he added.

“However, hot weather will be suitable for cotton and mango crops,” said the director of the meeting office.
