KP Transport Department Uncovers Fake International Driving License Scandal

Peshawar: An alarming revelation has surfaced as the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Transport Department confirmed that 85 out of 90 international driving licenses sent from Hong Kong are counterfeit.

According to official documents, Hong Kong authorities had requested verification for a list of 90 licenses. However, upon thorough investigation, the KP Transport Department found no records for 85 of these licenses, confirming them as fake. Only 5 licenses were verified as genuine, with a written response sent back to Hong Kong.

Sources indicate that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has intervened, directing the KP government to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter within 14 days. Director Transport Ahmed Kamal has promptly completed the inquiry and submitted a detailed report to the Chief Secretary.
