KP Govt to Address Issues Faced by Newspaper Owners and Workers

SWAT (Haroon Siraj)- The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Secretary of Information and Public Relations, Arshad Khan, announced that the provincial government is implementing comprehensive measures to resolve the challenges faced by newspaper owners and workers.

Speaking to media representatives, Arshad Khan highlighted the government’s awareness of the ongoing problems within the newspaper industry and assured that a robust campaign will be launched to tackle these issues effectively.

Khan revealed that the government is committed to ensuring the timely transmission of advertisement funds every month to alleviate the financial difficulties faced by newspapers and their staff. Furthermore, checks will be issued for advertisements during the upcoming Ramadan and Eid festivals.

The Secretary emphasized that the current administration is prioritizing the resolution of issues affecting newspaper owners, while modernizing the Information Department to ensure fairness and transparency. This initiative aims to guarantee that all newspapers receive their rightful share of government support.

Khan also stated that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government’s efforts in this regard are being recognized as a model of excellence across the country.
